Anisotropic physical properties and pressure dependent magnetic ordering of CrAuTe4
نویسندگان
چکیده
Systematic measurements of temperature-dependent magnetization, resistivity, and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) at ambient pressure as well as resistivity under pressures up to 5.25 GPa were conducted on single crystals of CrAuTe4. Magnetization data suggest that magnetic moments are aligned antiferromagnetically along the crystallographic c axis below TN=255 K. ARPES measurements show band reconstruction due to the magnetic ordering. Magnetoresistance data show clear anisotropy, and, at high fields, quantum oscillations. The Néel temperature decreases monotonically under pressure, decreasing to TN=236 K at 5.22 GPa. The pressure dependencies of (i) TN, (ii) the residual resistivity ratio, and (iii) the size and power-law behavior of the low-temperature magnetoresistance all show anomalies near 2 GPa suggesting that there may be a phase transition (structural, magnetic, and/or electronic) induced by pressure. For pressures higher than 2 GPa a significantly different quantum oscillation frequency emerges, consistent with a pressure induced change in the electronic states. Authors Na Hyun Jo, Udhara S. In this article, bulk and thin film samples of strontium ferrite have been studied. Due to the high electrical resistivity in strontium ferrite, energy loss due to eddy currents reduces and because of this, it can be used in high frequency magnetic circuits. On the other hand, strontium ferrite has attracted much attention as a permanent magnet. At first, we study the preparation process of b...
متن کاملQuasiparticles of spatially anisotropic triangular antiferromagnets in a magnetic field.
The spectral properties of the spin-1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet on an anisotropic triangular lattice in a magnetic field are investigated using a weak-interchain-coupling approach combined with exact solutions of a chain. Dominant modes induced by interchain interactions in a magnetic field behave as quasiparticles which show distinctive features such as anomalous incommensurate ordering and...
متن کاملInvestigation of effect of magnetic ordering on structural and electronic properties of double perovskites Sr2BWO6 (B = Co, Ni, Cu) using ab initio method
Structural and electronic properties of double perovskites Sr2BWO6 (B = Co, Ni, Cu) were studied for each of three magnetic configurations nonmagnetic, ferromagnetic, and antiferromagnetic by using density functional theory in generalized gradient approximations (GGA) and strong correlation correction (GGA + U). Due to magnetic transition from antiferromagnetic to nonmagnetic phase, an electr...
متن کاملSemi-analytical Solution for Time-dependent Creep Analysis of Rotating Cylinders Made of Anisotropic Exponentially Graded Material (EGM)
In the present paper, time dependent creep behavior of hollow circular rotating cylinders made of exponentially graded material (EGM) is investigated. Loading is composed of an internal pressure, a distributed temperature field due to steady state heat conduction with convective boundary condition and a centrifugal body force. All the material properties are assumed to be exponentially graded a...

In this research the magnetoelastic properties of Nd6Fe13-xCoxCu (x = 0 and 1) intermetallic compoundes are investigated. Analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns indicates that a single phase is formed approximately for x = 0 and the x = 1 sample is multi-phase. The lattice parameters were decreased, the Néel temperature of main phase and the Curie temperature of impurity phase was increased...
